Setting a rate is the part most new escorts get wrong in both directions. Too low and you work twice as many hours for the same money, in front of clients who chose you on price. Too high with an empty profile and the phone does not ring. This guide is about landing in the right place, using what the London market actually pays rather than a number that felt about right.
Start from the market, not a guess
The London escort rates page shows what escorts on this hub charge, by hour and by area, and it moves as listings change. Read it before you decide anything. Then look at ten profiles of escorts working the same area, offering roughly what you offer, with a similar amount of experience showing, and see where they sit.
You are looking for the middle of that group, not the top of it. The names at the top usually have years of regulars behind them, and matching their number from a standing start mostly buys you an empty diary.
What moves the number
Area. The biggest single factor. Central London carries the highest rates: Mayfair, Knightsbridge and Earls Court sit well above outer London. But so does the cost of an incall there, which is the part people forget.
Whether you host. An incall means somewhere safe and presentable that you pay for. That cost belongs in your rate, not in your savings. Incall and outcall covers the practical differences.
Travel. An outcall an hour away is a three hour block of your day for one hour of pay. Either charge more for outcall, set a minimum booking length for anything beyond a radius you pick, or both. Most escorts on the hub who travel widely do the second.
Notice. Same day bookings are worth more than they are usually charged. If someone wants you in ninety minutes, that is a premium service and it is reasonable to price it as one.
What you offer. Not a menu question so much as a positioning one. A short, clear list you are genuinely comfortable with earns better over a year than a long list you agreed to in order to compete.
Longer bookings
Price two hours at slightly less than two singles, and an evening at meaningfully less per hour again. This is standard and it is not a discount out of goodwill: one four hour booking costs you one journey, one set of messages and one getting ready, where four singles cost you four of each.
Overnights are their own thing, usually priced as a flat figure rather than by the hour, and worth setting deliberately because they take the following morning too. Overnight and dinner date bookings explains how clients understand them.
Half hour bookings are the opposite trade. They fill gaps but they cost you almost as much time as an hour once travel and messages are counted, so price them at more than half.
Outer London is underpriced, not unprofitable
The demand data on this hub says something most escorts miss. Searches for escorts in outer boroughs run several times higher than the number of escorts listed there: Croydon, Ealing, Bromley, Romford, Harrow and Enfield all have real search volume and almost nobody covering them.
Rates out there are lower than central, but so is competition and so is the cost of hosting. An escort who covers an outer borough properly, rather than listing it and travelling in from Zone 1, tends to fill a diary faster than the rate table alone suggests. If you already live in one of those areas, that is an advantage, not a compromise.
Deposits and cancellations
Deposits are worth asking for on a first booking with a client you have not met, on long bookings, on travel outside London and on anything unusual enough that you would turn other work down for it. Keep them small, keep them traceable, and say what happens if either of you cancels.
Never take a deposit in gift cards, vouchers or top up codes. Clients have been trained to see that as a scam, because it is one, and asking for it will cost you the booking and your reputation. Our guide on escort scams shows what clients are told to watch for, which is useful reading from your side of the phone.
Have a cancellation line and use the same one every time. Something like a full deposit kept inside twenty four hours is normal, defensible and easy to say out loud.
When to put your rate up
Three signals. You are turning bookings away. Your diary fills more than a week ahead. Or what you offer has changed: better incall, better photographs, a longer track record, a new area.
Raise it in steps rather than jumps, and apply it to new enquiries first while giving regulars a little notice. Nobody who books you often will be surprised, and most expect it eventually.
Lowering a rate is much harder to undo than raising one, so resist dropping it in a quiet fortnight. A quiet fortnight is usually a profile problem or a photo problem, not a price problem. More availability, a fuller profile and keeping your details confirmed shift more bookings than twenty pounds off ever will.
What never gets discounted
Screening, limits and safety. Not for a higher fee, not for a regular, not for a booking you need. A client who negotiates on those is telling you exactly who he is, and the answer is no at any price. Safety covers how escorts on the hub handle it.
Getting listed
Rates on this hub are shown on every card, so clients arrive already knowing yours. That filters out the price shoppers before they call, which is most of the point.
If you are working out the rest of it, how to become an escort in the UK covers the legal position and the practical setup, and independent or agency covers who answers your phone. When you are ready to be listed, advertise with us is where to start, and how we verify explains what we check.
